Well it turns out I didn't have to be induced after all. Thursday around 2 am I went into labor and after several hours my precious baby boy was born.

Trying to be Patient

I just looked at the baby counter on my blog and it said 5 days since baby Finn. I've always been one to believe that when they are ready to come they will no matter what you do. Even though this is what I believed I have still tried several tricks to induce labor and still nothing. Chase has taking me on a couple of long and bumpy drives in the mountains hoping it would trigger something, but of course nothing except for a sore bum and a beautiful scenery.

So I have decided that all I can do now is be patient. If this baby boy decides he is to cozy to come out in the next few days the doctor will induce me on Thursday. I'm still hoping he will come on his own but either way I am glad there is a end in sight.

I can't wait to meet you Finn.

My friends Rachel and Amy threw me a baby shower on August 25. I only have a few pictures of it but the company was great and the food was delicious. My mom and sister threw me a baby shower on the 18th. They did a Huckleberry Finn theme since our baby boy will be named Finn. My brother Dan (who is a fabulous chef) made some delicious food. My mom and Kelie made Caramel apples and adorable decorations.

Jackson Hole

This past weekend we went to Jackson Hole to watch my brother-in-law JR
race in the LOTOJA. He did a fantastic job.
He came in 57th out of 900 in his division.
I'm so impressed with all the riders that road in this 200 mile bike race.

4th of July

With the 4th of July falling on a Sunday this year we got to celebrate it 3 days in a row. On the 3rd we hung out with Corky, Lori, and Chet and while the boys watched the UFC fight Lori and I went to watch the Fireworks.

On the 4th we had a BBQ at Julie's with Chet, Richard & Sarah and their boys. We played an amazing game of Horse followed by Around the World. I think you would have been impressed by our mad skills.

On the 5th we had an Adams party at my Grandpa's farm. It has been a few years since we have had this party and it was so fun to go back to the farm and celebrate once again. I want to do a shout out to Jenelle Adams for taking the time to make some of Nana's famous treats. The Orange Rolls were to die for.

Tuesday night I went to the premiere of Eclipse. Watching the movie reminded how much I loved this book. It was by far the best book of the series and so far the best movie.

Summer Time

It's finally Summer Time and I'm loving it. I simply love the feel of the warm sun shinning down on me and let's not forget the nice glow it leaves on my skin. Well most of the time. This year I burnt my feet for the first time. They look like little lobsters. I have learned my lesson once again, NO SUNSCREEN = OUCH!

A few weeks ago my sister Kelie and her family were in town and went to my parents pool had a great time. (besides the fact that swimsuits don't quite fit me these days.) Annika had surgery on her foot a couple weeks before so she couldn't swim, but she still managed to have a good time. While Ariana showed off her sweet moves on the diving board.

My brother Rob always took care of me. He always made sure I had everything I could possible want and if I needed something he would find a way to help me get it. I am amazed that he is still doing this from heaven. I can think of several things that he has done in the few months he has been gone. I wont share them all, just the most exciting one. As some of you know his birthday is on October 14 and he is already planning a celebration. This year we wont only be celebrating Rob's birthday but we will be celebrating the birth of our own baby. That's right Chase and I are going to be parents. We are so excited and so thankful for this little gift. I am still in shock and can't believe that I am due on his birthday. I know that dates can change from day to day, but I know that this is Rob's way of letting me know he has something to do with it.

Christmas Morning

After opening all of our presents my mom handed out the gifts Rob had bought before he passed. I guess I shouldn't be surprised Rob had all his Christmas shopping done. That is just the kind of guy he was. Rob got to spoil his nieces and nephew one last time.

Christmas Brunch

Every year we have a Christmas brunch and my grandpa's. After we ate we had to make up songs to a Christmas song and sing it to Grandpa Beech to get our gift.

As cheesy as it may be, it is hilarious.

Julie always throws the best parties. The first thing we have to do is open the Pj's she got for us and put them on. Then of course we eat some more great food and finish opening presents.

My sweet brother Rob peacefully passed away on December 2 at 10:14 pm. I can't even express how grateful I am to have been able to have him as my brother. 8 1/2 years ago he was in a tragic car accident and was paralyzed from the chest down. Rob did a post about hid accident last year if you would like to read about it click here . After his accident he had decreased lung function which sadly led to his passing. He loved being an uncle and adored our Mom. He had two dogs that he spoiled rotten because to him they were his kids. He had a huge heart and loved to make others happy. He always had a funny comment to make and could always make you smile. He lived the last 8 1/2 years in a body that held him prisoner from the man he once was. I know that he did this for me and my family. I have learned so much from him and I feel so privileged to have known a true HERO. I know that he is where he wants to be. He is now with his Nana and Grandpa Rudy. It is comforting to have the perspective of the Gospel Plan. I know that I will see him again.

The latest on Rob: The CT scan of his brain came back normal, his kidneys keep getting worse and are in the beginning stages of kidney failure, not sure when they start dialysis. Since his accident 8 years ago he has had decreased lung function. They think that over the years his nervous system has deteriorated. He is still sedated. He has a vent tube down his throat and they have him restrained so he can't pull it out. They are hoping to be able to take the sedation away along with the vent tube. Hopefully he can breath on his own.

The week of Thanksgiving started with my brother Rob being admitted to University Hospital for cellulitis and a blood clot in one of his legs. On Friday afternoon they sent him home with antibiotics. On Friday night my sister Kelie woke up to him making a strange noise and ran into his room. Kelie called for my mom to come down. They tried to get him to wake up and the next thing they knew he had stopped breathing. Kelie called 911 and my dad came in and started to do CPR. The Ambulance came and got him and took him to St. Marks Hospital where they got him stabilized. He is in the ICU and they have him on oxygen because he is having problem breathing. After many test they still don't know what happened. They have a few more tests to do, but his kidneys are not strong enough right now to do them. Please remember him in your prayers.

Midnight Movie

On Thursday night I went to the midnight showing of New Moon. It was so fun to see everyone dressed up and so giddy to see the movie. I'm not usually one to go to Midnight Showings, but I have to say it is worth it for the Twilight movies. I can't believe how many people are in love with these books. Stephanie Meyer is truly a talented writer to be able to make all her readers fall in love with vampires and ware wolfs. It's actually kind of creepy. But somewhere along the way I fell in love with these books, despite how Crazy and cheesy they may be.

I can't believe how many people have told me that they HATE Halloween. I on the other hand, love it. I love the Fall and Halloween is accompanied by the best fall weather. The air is crisp but not to cold and the leaves are full of colors as they start to cover the ground. It's beautiful outside. On top of that, there are so many delicious pumpkin recipes and treats. And you get to dress up. So how can you say you hate Halloween?

I just don't get it.

I found this picture the other day while cleaning out my storage room.

My eyes filled with tears as a flood of memories flashed through my head.

This is Marilyn Price Adams, my Nana who I miss like crazy.
I don't think a day goes by when I don't think of her.
When ever I do something I think to my self

"would Nana be proud of me for this?" or "Nana would love this."

I have been thinking a lot about her lately since I am having Bunko at my house this week and no one threw a better party then Marilyn Price Adams. She was the most amazing person I have ever met in every aspect of her life. I long to be more like her and I will strive to be more like her.

I am so thankful for her and her example to me.

I will never forget her.

3 Years!!!

Yesterday was our 3 year anniversary.

I can't believe how fast time fly's. Everyone has told me it does,

but I didn't realize how fast it really goes.

Chase and I were talking last night about all the things that have happened

since we have been married and how it has still been

the best 3 years we could imagine.

I feel so lucky to have such a great husband. He is always finding ways to surprise me and make me laugh. No matter how hard times may get at least I have him to put a smile on my face and make me happy.

Why do I love California so much?

We just spent the week of labor day with my family in Encinitas
which is just outside San Diego.

It was so much fun. This has to be my favorite vacation.

We go every summer and every year I am just as excited to go as I was the year before.

We spent 1 day at the tide pools and every other day at the beach.

Our trip went by so fast and when it came time to fly home I felt so depressed.

I miss it already.

On the twenty-second was my 25th birthday,
I spent the day relaxing at the pool with 2 of my best friends.
It was so fun and just what I needed.
That night we went to The Spaghetti Factory with a bunch of friends
and I finished the night off with a chick flick.
It was a great birthday.

Chase had his 27th birthday on the twenty-seventh.

Sadly, I ended up working all day so

We did get the chance to go to dinner with some friends and

Lunch Date

Saturday morning Chase told me he wanted to take me somewhere so I needed to hurry and get ready for the day. Chase loves to surprise me so of course he didn't tell me where we were going. We left the house and I thought for sure we were going to go up Provo Canyon, but he took me to Juice and Java. Once we left there he started to take what I thought were unnecessary turns. I told him "why are you going the long way"(although I was only guessing where he was going) As it turned out he was just trying to throw me off as he headed for the Canyon. Once we got to Heber we went up Daniels Canyon. We stopped at Daniels Summit Lodge and ate a delicious lunch. It was 12:30 in the afternoon and it was only 45 degrees outside. It was freezing, but gorgeous. After lunch we continued up the canyon into Tabiona and down Wolf Creek Canyon which eventually led into Heber again. There is something about these long scenic drives I love. It is so peaceful and there is always great conversations.

My friends had a movie premier in Salt Lake later that day so ended up going to Park City and down Parley's Canyon. The Premier was awesome. These 2 kids decided that they were going to drive from Oregon to Panama and make a documentary about it. They promised each other before they left that they wouldn't stay in any hotels along the way. As they traveled and needed a place to sleep they would ask people for a place to camp and most of them told them to camp right there in their yards or would give them a place to sleep in their houses. It was so neat to see how complete strangers were so willing to help these kids out. I hope that it will play in Utah again so that you will get a chance to see it they did an amazing job with it.

Girls Camp

I was called as a stake leader for girls camp and I got to spend the week playing with teenage girls. We left at 6:30am on a Tuesday and returned home around 11:00am on the following Saturday. I was responsible for 12 girls with the help of two other leaders. We were in charge of bringing and preparing the food, but by the time we got to camp half our fruit was already bad. At night we had some friendly mice that enjoyed some of our food as well. Lucky for us we completely over estimated how much food we would need and had plenty to spare. Girls camp is a completely different experience going to camp as a leader. It was a ton of fun, but very exhausting. I can't even explain the spiritual boost I received at camp and I know everyone else there did too. It's a wonderful experience, but I am so glad to be home. Although Girls camp was extremely fun, it definitely makes me appreciate being clean and sleeping in my own bed.

This weekend was Chase's family reunion camp out.

We went up Big Cottonwood Canyon to Jordan Pines.
It was a lot of fun. We hiked Doughnut Falls,
ate amazing food, sang around the campfire,
enjoyed some smores, and best of all we had great company.

Chase and I spent the 4th in Durango, Colorado.
Durango is BEAUTIFUL.

This was my first time going to Colorado

After being 2 weeks over due,
that stubborn baby boy put Megan through
72 hours of labor which ended with a C-section.
Megan was a trooper and went through
almost 3 days of labor natural.
Although it didn't happen how she planned,
I think it's amazing she made it as long as she did
without an epidural.
I am so excited for a new nephew. He is adorable.
He has dark brown hair,
his Daddy's nose and his Mommy's eyes.

My cousin Stacey had the best idea and
put this little swap together.

The theme was All The Things I Love.

We had a $25 limit and all we had to do was
put a package together consisting of
things we love and ship it off to the person we were paired with.

I was paired up with Amanda from Texas and
she sent me the cutest things.
Little did she know, I really enjoy cooking.
(Mostly desserts, but as many of you know I just have a love for food)
Anyways she gave me the cutest apron.
I already have one that I do like, but this one is simply adorable.

TOILET vs CELL PHONE

It was Friday morning.
I was getting ready for work and I set my cell phone on the bathroom counter.
I started to get ready for the day and did my daily routine.
Brush teeth
Shower
Moisturize
Dry Hair
Apply Make-up
Style hair
It was this last step that ruined everything.
As I picked up my flat iron to curl my hair I heard a "spshhhhh"
I looked down and there it was my blackberry in the toilet(clean of course).
I quickly grab it out and shook it dry,
but it was too late the toilet had gotten the best of it.
There in just seconds went a little part of my life.
Pictures and phone numbers (of very important people in my life),
and worst of all, ALL my appointments.

The Toilet had won

I wanted to call everyone and find out when their appointment was,
but most of there phone numbers were lost.
I was able to call a few of them and
I surprisingly remembered when a lot of their appointments were.
When I called my client Cindy to ask her about her appointment
she told me about a little trick.
She told me to put my phone in rice to absorb the water.
And Guess What? It worked.
I turned it on and there everything was.

My phone was making a come back.

I decided to go for a motorcycle ride with Chase and Shad
and when I got back my poor little cell phone was dead.
No sign of life, just black nothingness.

The Toilet had come back for revenge

I put my phone back in the bowl of rice and waited. . . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Hours later I gave it one last try and once again it was working.
That rice trick is SIMPLY AMAZING!
So in the end and to my surprise and great joy
THE CELL PHONE WON!

My Weekend in St George

This last weekend Chase was in Loa hunting with the boys so I decided to go spend the weekend in St George with my sister and her family. On my way down I got pulled over TWICE! The first time was because of my tinted license plate cover and about 2 hours later I got pulled over again. You may think that I got pulled over for speeding but no I got pulled over again for my tinted license plate cover AGAIN. You will all be glad to know that this cover is now in the trunk of my car. Once I Finally arrived it was s blast. I absolutely love hanging out with Kelie and her kids. I have the best nieces ever. They are so fun and cute. They can make you laugh any time, they say the funniest things and I am pretty sure that I'm there favorite Aunt.

Ariana: YES I HAVE! I don't remember on what but I know I've had surgery.
I want to know where she got this idea. It was so funny.

Our Little Weekend Adventure

This last weekend we went to mesquite and to surprise Lori for her BiRtHdAy. Thanks to Corky the surprise was blown before we got there, but she was still excited to see us. We ate at this fantastic restaurant called Katherine's. I highly recommend it. Corky and Lori sure know how to eat. We also went and stayed with Jr and Kelie and their beautiful girls. It was so great to see all of them and spend time with them. I miss them all so much. On our way home we decided to take the scenic route and go through Zions. It was so fun. It had just snowed and was a gorgeous drive. It was totally worth the 6 1/2 hours.

Chase and I went to a Hockey game this weekend with his Julie and Tristen. It was so fun. Tristen loved everything about it. He loved that he could yell, dance, jump, and be crazy and it didn't matter because everyone else was doing the same thing.If you text xinsurance one lucky person got a chance to win $10,000. So of course Mr. I am going to win the lottery (Chase) text them. I think he was the only person that did text them, but he got a chance to win the money. Check it out.

So as you may have noticed he didn't win,
but he did win a I-Pod Touch and a $50 gas card.
They said they would mail it, so let's hope they are honest people.

Nellie got a late Christmas Present this year. We got her spayed. I don't think she liked it to much, but she was over it the next day.Monday Morning we took her in and while she was gone Norman whined and pouted the whole time. He is such a baby.

We picked poor Nellie up and she was so out it. I felt so bad.

Of course when we bring her home Norman will NOT leave her alone. He kept nudging her head with his and all she wanted to do was sleep.

Chase got a new video camera for Christmas and I have been putting it to good use. We now have 33 videos on it, but for some reason blogger will not upload any of them. So sad. You guys are really missing out. I will continue to try to upload them because I really want to share one. I would like to call it Favorite Aunties. (ring a bell Mel & Kerrilyn?)
Just so you know, all of you that were praying for a white Christmas this year are now in a fight with me. Every Year it seems like everyone wants a white Christmas. I did too until I married a snow plow man. Now I hate white Christmases because I have to spend Christmas without my hubby. Luckily he only had to work until 4pm so that he could spend a little time with me and his family.

Last Friday Carlie and I went with Richard and Sarah and their cute little boys to Temple Square. Or as Will would say "Tentle Square" We went to eat at Macaroni Grill and when we were buzzed Richard went to find Sarah and Will. So there Carlie and I were with baby Owen, 3 drinks, 3 purses, and a car seat. I am sure that everyone in the restaurant that saw us, new that we were both NOT moms. Picture this: I was holding Owen, Owens blanket, the buzzer, and my drink. While Carlie had the car seat filled with 3 purses and her drink. We left the third drink there; there was no way it would have made it to our table. Owen is crying I'm trying to hand the waitress the buzzer while balancing the drink and the baby. As we walk to the table I'm trying to bounce Owen to get him to stop crying and Carlie is trying to maneuver the car seat through all the tables and is running into whoever is sitting in our path. We finally arrive at our table and it took us about 2 minutes to figure out where and how to put everything. It was struggle. I don't know how you moms do it; we had two of us and barely made it.

In the end it was so much fun. I am so glad I got to go spend time with you guys.

I have to say that I am so Thankful that it hasn't snowed much this year. Last year it snowed like crazy and Chase was always working so we never had time to get a Christmas Tree. This Year we did and despite our small little house I think it turned out pretty Great. Although The pictures really don't do it justice. It is much prettier in real life. Yes it is a real tree and It smells FanTaStiC!

This last weekend we went camping with our friends Eric and Rachel. We thought we'd get one last camping trip in before it gets too cold. It wasn't even cold until we woke up the next morning and then we froze our butts off. I think our fire might of had something to do with that. Check it out.

Oceanside!!

A couple of weeks ago Corky and Lori took us to California. It was so much fun. Chase got to spend one of the days at the US Open and other we spent at sea world. I am so impressed by all the tricks that the trainers can teach those animals to do. I have a hard enough time with my dogs, I can't even imagine training a Whale. We found one little sea lion that liked to show off. He sat on top of the rock and when you had a treat he would wave at you in hopes you would give it to him and when you did he would bounce it off his nose before he ate it. As you can see by our blue Pancho's we sat in the Soak Zone at the Shamu show, but the Pancho's were totally worth it. Everyone around us that didn't have one was soaked and we left pretty dry. Lori was able to get us a amazing condo that had a beautiful view of the beach. Thanks so much Corky and Lori for that great vacation. We love you!

Julie's 50th Birthday!!!

It was my Mother-in-law’s 50th birthday on April 20 so we threw her a surprise party. It was so much fun and she had no idea what was going on. It was so hard to do all the planning without her finding out, but in the end all of our hard work paid off. We also surprised her with the best birthday present. All the kids pitched in and planned a trip with her sisters to Lake Tahoe. Carlie and I made her a Road Trip book that includes not only how to get there but the stops she needs to make on the way. It was so much fun and she loved it. I’m so lucky to have such a great mother-in-law. Love ya Julie, Happy Birthday!

P.S. That awesome cake you see was made by one of her best friends Debbie. She did such a great job. It was amazing.

Chase's Sister Cassie passed away on October 25 th.

We finally found out the cause of death after waiting 8 long weeks. Cassie suffocated in her sleep.

She left behind her darling son Tristen who is now being raised by Chase's mom Julie.

Cassie will be missed but we are grateful that we still have her little boy to remind us of her.
